MEET THE HEART BEHIND KINDRED: A Legacy of Local 🪻

Hi, I’m Linsey, the face behind Kindred. For the past ten years, I’ve had the incredible honor of serving as a Licensed Massage Therapist. My passion has always been creating a comfortable space where my clients can truly exhale, and there is nothing I love more than being "the best part of someone’s day."

The "Why" Behind the Shop: A few months ago, I sat down to order more massage oil. Like most of us, I reflexively opened Amazon. It was the "easiest" option, but for the first time, I actually stopped and looked at the bottle. I realized I hadn't truly thought about the quality of the products I was using on my clients—or where they were actually coming from. I realized I wanted better for their skin, but more than that, I wanted to do better by my community.

A Family Legacy: Growing up, I watched my dad run his own business. Seeing his dedication is why I knew I wanted to follow in his footsteps rather than working a standard 8-5. I know exactly how much it means to a small business owner and their family when you choose to shop with them. It’s a vote for their dream and their hard work.

The Discovery: I decided then and there to make a change and start buying my everyday essentials—and my professional supplies—from local families. What I found blew me away: everything I needed was already being made right here in Iowa. From the oils on my massage table to the honey in my kitchen and the soap in my shower, our state is overflowing with incredible makers.

Kindred was born from that journey. It is a curated collection of home and body products chosen with the same care I bring to my therapy sessions.
